How is Sound Produced?
Sound is a type of energy made by vibrations. When an object vibrates, it causes movement in surrounding air molecules. These molecules bump into the molecules close to them, causing them to vibrate as well. This makes them bump into more nearby air molecules.
This is how sound is produced
Vibration
An object vibrates causing movement in surrounding air molecules.
Molecules bump into each other
After vibration, the air molecules bump into each other, causing them to vibrate as well.
Hearing
These vibration of air molecules reaches the eardrum and causes it to vibrate. This makes us to hear the sound.
